In brief
The Queen Mary at 1126 Queens Highway is open to visitors in 2026 with general admission at $45 for adults and $40 for children, daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and visitor parking capped at $25 a day. The ship’s own parking page and the city’s parking site disagree on the short-stay rates, and on October 4 and 17 the ship moves day-visitor parking to the Pike Parking Garage.
- Tickets as of 09/07/26: general admission $45 adult and $40 child; off-hours admission $15 all ages; Legacy Tours $551.
- Parking on the ship’s page: free for 0-10 minutes, $15 for 11-59 minutes, $25 visitor maximum, $39 per night for overnight guests2.
- October 4 and 17: day visitors park at the Pike Parking Garage, 65 Cedar Ave., and hotel guests at the Southshore Launch Ramps, with a complimentary shuttle; the page gives no year2.
- Dark Harbor runs select nights from September 18 to November 1, and its parking page says to park on the property “YOU MUST HAVE PREFERRED PARKING”78.
- The free Passport bus, route 37, runs Friday to Sunday from downtown to a Queen Mary / Cruise Terminal stop5.

This page covers what a visitor can book, park for and reach on the Queen Mary as of October 2026, using the ship’s own pricing and parking pages, the city’s parking site and Long Beach Transit’s timetables. It does not describe the ship or review it. How the Queen Mary fits with the cruise terminal, the airport and the rest of the city’s access points is in the section pillar, Getting In and Out of Long Beach.

Parking, and where the official pages disagree
The ship’s own page lists the self-parking day rates and the overnight rate. The city’s parking site lists the same lot, with different short-stay numbers, and says LAZ Parking manages parking “on behalf of the City”2311.
| queenmary.com | parklb.com (Queen Mary Lot) | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry tier | “$0 0-10 Minutes” | 0-20 minutes, $0 |
| Next tier | “$15 11-59 Minutes” | 21-59 minutes, $10.00 |
| Daily maximum | “$25 Visitor Maximum” | $25.00 |
| Restaurant validation | “Restaurants: Discounted $15 Per Vehicle with Validation” | “With Restaurant Validation: $10.00” |
| Overnight hotel guests | “Overnight Guests: $39 Per Night” | $30.00 |
Sources:2 and3. Rates as printed, as of October 2026.
Official pages disagree The ship’s parking page and the city’s parking site give different figures for the first two tiers, restaurant validation and overnight rate; only the $25 daily maximum matches23. The ship’s page is the operator’s own, and it also lists “Meet Me at the Mary Tuesdays” at a discounted $15 per vehicle with validation and lists special-event rates as “Rates Subject to Change Per Event”2. The pages do not say which applies.
October 4 and 17
The ship’s parking page carries a “Parking Notice for Select Dates”: on October 4 and 17, hotel guests park at the Southshore Launch Ramps (590 Queensway Drive) and “Tours, Dining, and Day Visitors” park at the Pike Parking Garage (65 Cedar Ave.). “Complimentary shuttle service will be provided for Queen Mary guests. Applicable parking rates will apply.” The page also says “Rideshare and drop-offs are available within walking distance of the ship”2. The page prints no year.
The city lists the Pike Parking Garage as open 24 hours with a clearance height of 6’10”, free for the first 30 minutes, $3.00 to 1.5 hours, $6.00 to 2.5 hours, $9.00 to 4 hours, $12.00 to 5 hours, $15.00 to 8 hours and $16.00 as the daily maximum4. October 4 is also the first date on Long Beach Transit’s concert-day water taxi page, a separate service described below6.
Dark Harbor
The Halloween event Dark Harbor lists “SELECT NIGHTS SEPT. 18 – NOV. 1” at 1126 Queens Highway8. Its parking page is blunt: “TO PARK AT THE QUEEN MARY PROPERTY YOU MUST HAVE PREFERRED PARKING. GENERAL PARKING IS OFF SITE.” Oversized vehicles and those over 6’9″ are not permitted in the event’s lots, the page recommends other paid downtown lots with guest shuttle access or rideshare if preferred parking sells out, and it says to arrive one hour before your entry time7. The parking page prints no admission price, and it does not name the off-site lots or give a shuttle schedule.
Getting there without a car
Long Beach Transit’s Passport, route 37, is the downtown connection. As of its August 23, 2026 timetable it runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday and lists four stops southbound: 10th & Pine, Long Beach Blvd & 1st, Shoreline & Village, and Queen Mary / Cruise Terminal5. Long Beach Transit’s Passport page is titled “LBT Passport Schedule | Free Downtown Long Beach Bus”9. On the Friday table, the trip leaving 10th & Pine at 10:20 reaches the Queen Mary at 10:40, and the northbound trip leaving the Queen Mary at 10:10 reaches 10th & Pine at 10:345.
The printed table has no a.m. or p.m. marks, but the sequence is plain: the first southbound trip leaves 10th & Pine at 6:26, and the final one arrives at the Queen Mary at 11:10. Buses run about every 30 minutes for most of the day, with about an hour between the first two Friday southbound trips and between the last two5. The timetable lists no Monday to Thursday trips, apart from Monday, January 18, 2027 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day), which follows the Saturday table5. The route’s stops, the A Line stations and fares are in Long Beach Transit in 2026.
On water, Long Beach Transit’s water taxi page says “Regular AquaLink and AquaBus service has ended for the season”, “Regular service will return in 2027”, and that the AquaBus “will be out of service until further notice”. The summer 2026 AquaLink schedule ran daily from May 22 to Labor Day, September 7, 2026, with stops at the Queen Mary and Aquarium Dock 4610. Special service continues “on F&M Bank Amphitheater concert days through 2026” between Aquarium Dock 4 and the Queen Mary at $12 round trip, “Contactless payments only (credit/debit card) or TAP card with stored value only. No cash”; the only date listed is Sunday, October 4, 20266.
The ship’s pages publish no walking route from downtown. For the Aquarium end of that trip, see Aquarium of the Pacific: Parking, Validation, Timed Entry and Tickets. The site earns a commission on some hotel, ticket, transfer and parking links, which does not affect what is recommended.
Tours worth considering
This section contains affiliate links. If you book through them, the site earns a commission at no cost to you. It does not change what is recommended.
The ship’s own pages, quoted above, decide what is open on a given day; a ticket does not change that. Two listings sold through Viator are the ship’s own products:
- You want the self-guided visit. See the Queen Mary general admission self-guided experience. The listing describes the ship’s Art Deco design, its history and its tours in general terms and does not list which areas are open, so read the “what is open” sections above first.
- You want the guided history tour. See the Queen Mary Glory Days historical tour. The listing presents it as a historical tour aboard the ship; the schedule and what the tour covers on a given day are on the ship’s page.
