Long Beach hotels on Booking.com

LGB is the airport a visitor to Long Beach can fly into directly, and its rules differ from a large airport’s in two ways that matter to a trip: a curfew written into the city’s noise ordinance, and a parking price list that changes in steps on October 1 and November 1. This page gathers the airport’s own figures, with the parking rates effective October 1 (the page prints no year), flags where its pages disagree, and links to the pages for the rest of the trip. Getting from here to the water is in Long Beach Airport to the Cruise Terminal; the section pillar is Getting In and Out of Long Beach.

The short answer

If you are… Do this
Parking for a trip Structure A $35 a day, Structure B $30 a day, hourly $5; reserve online up to a year ahead14
Wanting valet $42 a day “effective November 1”; the operator is lbvalet.com, 562-496-14071
Picking someone up The cell phone waiting lot is “FREE”, “One Hour Only”1
Taking a taxi Stand next to Parking Structure A; flat rates are listed, undated5
Booking a late flight Airline operations must be scheduled 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. only for delays2
Timeline of Long Beach Airport's curfew: airline operations may be scheduled from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. only delayed flights, caused by weather, air traffic or mechanical issues, are allowed; from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the strictest noise limit applies.
When airline flights may operate at Long Beach Airport, from the airport's noise-office FAQ as of October 2026.

Airport basics

The airport is at 4100 Donald Douglas Dr., Long Beach, CA 90808, phone 562-570-26003. The airport calls its main building the “landmark Historic Terminal building”, and its home page announces a “$37 million concourse enhancement project” to modernize the passenger concourse ahead of the 2028 Olympics6.

Airlines and nonstop destinations

The airlines page names Southwest Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Alaska Airlines. The nonstop list it prints is Albuquerque, Austin, Bozeman, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Honolulu, Houston, Las Vegas, Maui, Nashville, New Orleans, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Portland, Reno, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Jose and Seattle3.

Official pages disagree The airlines page names four airlines, including Delta, and heads its list “22 airports” while listing 21 names3. The airport’s home page counter says “3 Airlines” and “21 Nonstop Destinations”, but its own flight tables include Delta Air Lines flights, for example to Salt Lake City6. Count 21 destinations, and check the airline’s own schedule before assuming a Delta route.

The curfew

The airport’s noise-office FAQ is plain: “All airline operations must be scheduled between 7am-10pm. Operations between 10pm-11pm are allowed if the delays were caused by weather, air traffic, or mechanical issues”2. Violations between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. that result from “unanticipated delays beyond the reasonable control of the aircraft Owner/Operator shall be waived”2. The same FAQ says “41 commercial flights per day is the minimum allowed under the Noise Ordinance”, which is a floor and not a cap2.

The practical reading for a traveler is that a flight cannot be scheduled to land or leave after 10 p.m., and a delayed one has until 11 p.m. The airport remains a 24-hour facility for other users, and the strictest noise limit, 79.0 SENEL dBA, applies from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.2.

Parking rates and reservations

Product Rate Effective
Structure A $35 per day “effective October 1”
Structure B $30 per day “effective October 1”
Hourly $5 per hour “effective October 1”
Valet $42 per day “effective November 1”
Cell phone waiting lot Free, one hour only n/a

Source:1. The page also still shows earlier rates under a “Parking Rates” heading: Lot A $30, Lot B $25 and valet $381.

The page does not print a year for “effective October 1”. The airport’s October 1, 2025 announcement of online reservations used $30 a day for Structure A and $25 for Structure B, so the $35 and $30 read as the next step up, but the page does not say so14.

Reservations. Online reservations launched on October 1, 2025. Guests book “no later than one hour before arrival and up to a year in advance”, may cancel “up to two hours prior”, and scan a QR code at the entry; “A convenience fee will apply to each reservation”, and Structure A “may not be available for online bookings” at peak times4. The airport’s page does not state the convenience fee.

Charging and valet. Twelve ChargePoint stations are on the first level of Structure B, first come, first served1. Valet is run by lbvalet.com1.

Driving in. From the I-405, exit Lakewood Boulevard northbound, pass Spring Street and turn left at Donald Douglas Drive. From the 91, exit Lakewood Boulevard southbound for about 4 miles and turn right onto Donald Douglas Drive1.

Ground transportation

The airport’s ground-transportation page lists these options5:

Option What the page states
Rideshare “Available on the outer curb in front of the terminal”; only Uber and Lyft are named, under the heading “Transportation Network Companies”
Taxi Stand “outside the terminal next to Parking Structure A”; base fee $3.10, $2.97 per mile, $0.37 per 37 seconds if in traffic or the cab is waiting; book at longbeachyellowcab.com; (562) 444-4444 is the reservation line for wheelchair-accessible vehicles
Taxi flat rates San Pedro/Cruise Ships $50; LAX $75; Downtown LA $85; Disneyland/Anaheim $50; Ontario Airport $170
Long Beach Transit Routes 102, 104, 111 and the 405 Commuter Express; “Bus fare is $1.25 cents for all routes”
Rail “The closest Metro Rail station to Long Beach Airport is the Wardlow Station on the A Line”; a cab from that station to the airport is $13.35
Shuttles and limousines “Approved Ground Service Providers”; Ground Transportation Office 562-570-2629

The flat-rate list carries no year. The page does not list the downtown Passport as serving the airport and states no distance to downtown or to the cruise terminal5. For a Carnival motorcoach from LGB at $31.99 per person, the cruise terminal taxi rate and the transit pieces, see Long Beach Airport to the Cruise Terminal. For Anaheim and Disneyland, see Long Beach to Anaheim and Disneyland.

Rental cars

Official pages disagree The ground-transportation page says rental offices are in the “Ground Transportation Center located directly across the street from the terminal” and lists Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty5. The airport’s home page says onsite rental car services “have relocated to the Airport’s landmark Historic Terminal building”6. The home page is the newer statement; plan to collect the car at the terminal building and confirm with the rental company.

What the airport pages do not say

The pages cited here give no walking distance inside the terminal, no gate layout, no security-wait figures, no distance or drive time to downtown, and no convenience-fee amount for parking reservations. The site earns a commission on some hotel, ticket, transfer and parking links, which does not affect what is recommended.
